Michael Graham and Tarra Wheeler are the co-owners and trainers behind The Canine Polarity. Partners in life and business, Michael and Tarra have traveled the country together honing their skills as dog trainers. After years of helping dog owners and dog trainers alike across the midwest and east coast, they decided to set down roots and offer their premier Dog Training services to the Chicagoland area and the surrounding states!

 

Tarra is a very intellectual and thorough person, those traits alone have allowed her to become a very talented dog trainer and a sought after voice in the Dog Training community. She got her start in the dog world by working at a large scale dog daycare where she managed groups of dogs ranging from 30-60 dogs, so naturally she learned about dog aggression and other undesirable dog to dog interactions very early on. This led her to venturing into her first dog training job and the rest is history. Now Tarra spends the majority of her time doing our scheduling and evaluations for incoming clients; so if you book us for training she's your first line of defense before you meet Mike.

Mike is an out of the box problem solver with a knack for difficult cases. He fell into dog training when he was working at his families pet store and was enamored by one of the trainers that did group classes after hours. Fast forward to today after many theory courses, an apprenticeship with a well known dog trainer, and thousands of dogs going through his hands; Mike is a renowned decoy and competitor in a dog sport called PSA, a coach to many other dog trainers, and has been many dogs last chance. Day to day, you can catch Mike doing lessons and driving around to parks in the northwest suburbs training his own dogs and our board and trains.
